It is a great shame that so few people have the opportunity to taste what is likely the most beautiful and elegantly flavoured plum. This greengage is challenging to grow, transport and represents something so far removed from most people’s experience that we fear its loss in the UK.

We feel blessed to work with such incredible produce. Our greengage are hand picked at the perfect ripeness for eating, green blushed with gold and a rich juicy interior. Each plum is hand graded and cleaned. They are gently crushed to avoid the breaking of stones and the release of their bitter almond oil. To maintain a perfect balance all the stones are hand sieved from the mash moments before distillation, avoiding oxidation of their delicate aromas.

Beautifully fine and perfumed nose. Vinous (noble sweet wines), lemon zest, clear gage flavours, honey and blossom and delicate sweetness. To taste, sweet, soft, pure greengage flavours, citrus, gentle touches of spice, vinous, honey and blossom, hints of skin and almond.
